"
To think creatively we must be able to look afresh at what
we
normally take for granted. " --George Kneller

Major blocks to creativity:
1.Fear
of problems:
Often
our fear of a problem is bigger than the actual problem itself. We
try to avoid facing problems and do not even acknowledge the presence
of problem. THis is because we have not equipped ourselves with the
right mix of emotional, psychological and practical responses.
2.Fear
of Failure:
We
surrender even before the battle! We start thinking that a problem
cannot be solved or that nothing can be done to improve the
situation. The problem itself appears to be stronger in magnitude and
we are lending it authencity.
3.Lack
of self confidence:
This
is something that most of us do, Some of us think that we are not
capabe enough of qualigied enough or intelligent enough to solve the
problem. We start believing that some one else who is an expert and
smarter than us would be able to do ot and not us
This
is one of the major block to
creativity. Some of us believe that
everyone except ourselve is creative.
5.Lack
of right perception
We
want to give others the impression that we are mature and refined. In
this process we keep away from creative and playful attitude. We
don't do our approach to the problem, because it would appear
childish or immature.
6.Peer
pressure:
